Terms of Use

These terms apply to Folder Scrub software and the folderscrub.app website. By downloading, purchasing, or using Folder Scrub, you agree to them. Folder Scrub is a direct download for Mac. It is not sold on the Mac App Store.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you buy for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

License

A purchase grants you a non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable license to install and use Folder Scrub on up to three Mac computers you own or control. The license key is for you. Do not resell it, publish it, or share it. We may revoke a key that is resold, posted publicly, or used in a way that abuses the activation limit.

Trial

The app includes 3 complimentary scans without a license. After those scans, further scanning stays locked until you activate a valid license key.

Payments and refunds

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments on their checkout page. The price is a one-time $9 lifetime license, as shown at checkout. If you want a refund, email support@folderscrub.app within 14 days of purchase. We refund ordinary requests made in that window. We may refuse a request that abuses it, such as repeated purchases and refunds. Completing a refund can also depend on Dodo Payments and on the law that applies to the purchase.

Your responsibility

• You choose which folders to scan and which files to move to the Trash. Review results before you confirm — automated flags can be wrong. Folder Scrub moves files to the Trash; emptying the Trash in Finder is permanent.
• You are responsible for backups and for complying with the laws that apply to your files.
• Folder Scrub is not legal advice. If you encounter material that appears to involve a minor, contact the appropriate authorities.

Disclaimer

Folder Scrub is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted or that every file will be classified correctly. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost data), and our total liability for a claim about the app or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that license. Keep backups.

Updates

We may ship fixes and improvements to the app. A lifetime license covers the product you bought; a separate new product may be offered on its own. We may also update these terms. The date at the top will change. If you keep using Folder Scrub after that, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the app and email us about a license you already paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Kolkata, India.
